MISSIONS WE SUPPORT
Metanoia MissionsMetanoia is the Greek word for repent. When one truly "repents", there is such a powerful inward transformation that his direction in life is changed. Transformed lives are the key to transforming communities and nations.
With this goal in mind, Metanoia has been running a children's home for 8 years and is built a widows home to provide stable living conditions for those in need. Metanoia established feeding centers throughout Nicaragua to provide nutritional meals to about 3,000 children each week. More importantly, the children we serve are also receiving "spiritual food”. Hot meals are always preceded by a time of worship and teaching where the children learn about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Metanoia partners with free wheelchair mission, tom's shoes, and host medical brigades that reach people in areas of no medical care. Mission PossibleMission Possible prides itself in being a “field-run” ministry on the island of Hispaniola. They employ over 250 Haitians and Dominicans nationals to run the ministry along side two well-equipped godly leaders there. The USA headquarters is based in Findlay, Ohio. Mission Possible owns and operates eight schools on the island, which enables over 2200 students to receive an excellent Christian Education and a nutritious breakfast and lunch every school day. They are blessed to have a Haitian Nurse and trained Community Health Agents on staff to care for our students, staff, faculty, and community members. Mission Possible also plays a role in Haitian community development by providing clean filtered water, community wells and cisterns, disaster relief, women’s hygiene education, pregnancy and new mother training, medical and dental clinics, and other services as needed. Mission Possible is a “Hand-Up,” not a “Hand-Out” ministry. Those who benefit from these programs are expected to invest in their own future. Mission Possible opened a vocational school in 2009 to help Haitians develop the skills needed to obtain employment, and runs a teacher school to provide proper training to those who work in their schools. Most importantly, Mission Possible is equipping future generations of leaders in Haiti to impact their own families and communities.
